3 killed in road accident in Kitee

Three persons were killed and three other injured in a road accident at Kitee in Eastern Finland early morning of Sunday, police said in a bulletin.

The accident took place when a private car collided with a minibus.

The minibus was carrying five people. The driver of the private car was riding alone.

The deceased were a 21-year old man from Joensuu who was driving a vehicle, a 42-year old man from Joensuu and a 32-year old woman from Tampere.

The injured three persons were admitted to the hospital and one of them was critical.

The late driver is also suspected of having been under the influence of alcohol.
