Neil Robertson of Australia showed no mercy by beating Jack Lisowski of England 11-4 in the final of 2019 World Snooker China Open here on Sunday for his 16th ranking event title.
Robertson who crushed Lisowski 5-2 in the Riga Masters 2018, the only final appearance for Lisowski earlier, made break of 141 points in the second frame to lead 4-0 and 8-2 after the afternoon session.
After winning two more frames, Lisowski found no way to make a comeback, losing the final 11-4.
"Right now I am the world No. 11, so it is a great feeling for me, you know, two years ago I may even drop from the professional tour," Lisowski said. "But the good season is not over yet, I still want to win tournament, two finals is nice, but I still want to win."
After winning the China Open, Robertson surpassed Mark Selby and Ding Junhui to become the player born in 1980s with the most ranking event titles of 16.
"We all just push each other along, myself, Mark Selby and Ding. We are like a generation after (John) Higgins, (Ronnie) O'Sullivan and (Mark) Williams, so we are trying catching those guys up with tournament, so the better that Ding, Selby and (Judd) Thump do, the more inspiration that gets me to work hard and try to win more tournaments."
On his plan, Robertson answered with joy: "Fly back early tomorrow, I've got a baby girl only a month old, a few weeks actually. So I'll be doing my dad duties when I get home for couple of days, just relax, not playing snooker, just completely relax with my family and then get ready for the championships."
