Finland cruised past the last-placed Britain 5-0 on Friday and lead Group A with 13 points.

After five rounds, Britain's point column is still empty.

After a goalless first period, Finland turned up the heat and decided the game in the second. Toni Rajala sent a laser past Ben Bowns on a power play, Atte Ohtamaa scored a similar goal on full strength and Joel Kiviranta slid in a rebound to stretch Finland's lead to 3-0.

Britain pulled their goalie in the 57th minute to increase their chances of scoring at least a goal of honor, but the Finns crushed their hopes when Kristian Kuusela scored into the abandoned net. Mikko Lehtonen set the final score to 5-0 eleven seconds before the final buzzer.

The new leaders of Group A will get another smooth sailing opportunity against France on Sunday and Britain will face the determined Slovakia on Saturday.
