Things were started nicely for Bangladesh as Mashrafe took wicket on the very first ball of the day. Shakib and Mosaddek also struck quite early to force Kiwis in a danger position.

But Munro had completely different plan and he hit the ball all around the ground with his unorthodox baseball action. His brilliant century of 101 runs and Tom Bruce’s eligible innings of 59 runs put New Zealand on the apogee of 195 runs. Rubel Hossain struck thrice and has become the most successful bowler of Bangladesh but his attempts were too late to restrict Kiwis within a manageable margin. Mashrafe won the toss today and decided to bowl first. His decision was proven right till the beginning of destruction led by Munro. Munro hit 7 fours and 7 sixes and smashed the ball with immense power. He took 26 runs from Mahmudullah’s over but every other bowler also felt the hit of his rage. Bruce accompanied him nicely as well and together they put a solid 123 runs partnership in just 67 balls .
