Tite to remain Brazil boss after Copa America

Brazil head coach Tite will keep his job, irrespective of the result of Sunday's Copa America final against Peru, the country's football confederation said on Thursday.
Media reports earlier in the day said the 58-year-old had offered to step down regardless of the outcome of the clash at Rio de Janeiro's Maracana Stadium.
"The Brazilian Football Confederation expresses its confidence in the national team's coaching staff and reaffirms that it will be maintained on a permanent basis," the entity said in an official statement.
Former Barcelona full-back Sylvinho left his post as one of Tite's assistants in May to take up the head coaching role at French Ligue 1 outfit Lyon. Brazil team coordinator Edu Gaspar will also depart after the Copa America to become Arsenal's technical director.
Tite was appointed Brazil boss in June 2016 after the team's group stage elimination from the centenary edition of the Copa America in the United States.
