Bale uncertainty continues as Welshman trains alone in Madrid

The uncertainty surrounding Gareth Bale's future at Real Madrid continued on Monday as the Welsh international failed to train with the rest of his teammates.
The club confirmed that Bale had trained on his own in the first session since Madrid returned from their disappointing pre-season visit to the United States.
Bale is now a doubt to travel with the rest of his teammates for Tuesday's pre-season game against his former club, Tottenham Hotspur in Munich.
The news comes just a day after the Spanish media reported that a move to Chinese club, Jiangsu Suning fell through because the transfer fee Real Madrid was demanding for the Wales international.
The signing of Croatian striker Ivan Santini by Jiangsu appears to have closed the door of Bale rumors, which were largely constructed by his agent Jonathan Barnett.
"It's simple, Zidane doesn't like Gareth. There's no relationship between them. There never has been," said Barnett, who a week ago had even stronger words for Zidane after he had said Bale should leave the club.
"Zidane is a disgrace; he shows no respect for a player that has done so much for Real Madrid," said Barnett.
Bale scored in Champions League final wins over Atletico Madrid and Liverpool in 2014 and 2018, with his goal in 2018 a spectacular overhead kick. He also scored in the 2014 Copa del Rey final against FC Barcelona, running half the length of the pitch before scoring the decisive goal in a 2-1 win for Real Madrid.
