HJK to face Serbian Red Star in Helsinki today

Finish champion HJK Helsinki will face Serbian champion Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) in the second leg of the qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League in Helsinki on Wednesday.

The match will begin in the Telia 5G Arena in Töölö at 7:00pm and ends at around 9:00pm.

Earlier, on July 24 in the first leg of the qualifying round Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) defeated HJK Helsinki by 2 goals to 0 at the Rajko Mitic stadium in Belgrade.

Mwanwhile, Helsinki police will be joining the match to ensure general order and safety, in addition to directing traffic, said a press release of police on Tuesday.

“It is a big public event. The police will prepare for possible traffic congestions and general disorder. Safety arrangements might cause traffic cuts in the vicinity of the arena and around the city center,” said Chief Inspector of the Helsinki Police Seppo Kujala.

Parking spaces around the arena are limited, so the police recommend event goers to take public transport and to reserve plenty of time to arrive.

Others should take in consideration that the area will be exceptionally crowded on Wednesday, the press release added.
