Central defender Luis Abram scored his first international goal to fire Peru to a 1-0 victory over Brazil in a friendly here on Wednesday.

Abram headed in from close range after connecting a Yoshimar Yotun free-kick five minutes from time at the Memorial Coliseum, the home of the NFL's Los Angeles Rams.

The match marked the international debut of teenage Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior, who replaced Richarlison as a 74th-minute substitute.

It came barely two months after the teams met in the Copa America final at Rio de Janeiro's Maracana Stadium in July, when the tournament hosts prevailed 3-1.

Meanwhile, Lautaro Martinez struck his first hat-trick for Argentina's national team in a 4-0 victory over Mexico in San Antonio, Texas.

The Inter Milan forward netted in the 17th, 22nd and 39th minutes, while Leandro Paredes was also on target in the first half as the Albiceleste put the result beyond doubt before half-time.
