Lappi, Suninen lead in FIA World Rally

New home heroes Esapekka Lappi and Teemu Suninen reached to very close to FIA World Rally Championship.
They are only four stages away from taking incredible dream results on their home round holding first and second into the final day of Neste Rally Finland, said the news release of the rally.
Lappi lost the lead this morning as his Toyota team-mate Jari-Matti Latvala claimed a string of stage wins, but Latvala's chances of a fourth Finland win came to a sudden halt on the second pass of the legendary Ouninpohja stage this afternoon due to a technical problem.
This handed Lappi a lead of 54 seconds, and despite taking it easier through the day's final stages, he leads Suninen by 49.1s overnight.
Suninen was moved off a provisional podium position in the morning as Juho Hänninen joined Latvala and Lappi in an all-Toyota top three, but he ends the day holding second in only his second event at rallying's highest level.
