Finland to host MotoGP in 2019

MotoGP Grand Prix of Finland will take place at KymiRing motorsports complex in 2019 for consecutive five years.
The schedule of the event was finalized by Dorna Sports, the promoter of the MotoGP series, said an official press release.
The Minister for Sport, Sampo Terho expressed his satisfaction over hosting the event in Finland.
According to the Minister, being selected for organising a MotoGP race shows that Finland is highly recognised for its expertise in holding elite competitions and other large-scale international events.
“Finland has an excellent track record in motorsports, where much valuable work has been carried out sustainably over a long period of time,” Terho said.
Approximately 100,000 spectators from all around the world are expected to attend the Grand Prix in Finland.
During the 2016 season, as many as 369 million spectators in 207 different countries watched the different MotoGP Grand Prix events on TV.
