Germany women's coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg has spoken out in favour of more females in coaching and leadership roles at men's clubs, reported dpa.
"I advise every club: Get women in your set-up," the 53-year-old told the Funke Mediengruppe on Tuesday. "You'll find they function better and perform better."
She lamented the lack of equal opportunities and said there was no reason why well-qualified women coaches could not train men.
"It should be normal for every men's club in the three German professional leagues to also consider female coaches," Voss-Tecklenburg added.
Imke Wuebbenhorst and Inga Grings have both coached men's teams in the German fourth tier in recent years.
