Lions face Norway in Ice Hockey WC opener

Host Finland will face Norway in their opening march in Tampere Nokia Arena in the Ice Hockey World Championship 2022 beginning on Friday.
The 2022 Olympic champions and World runners-up in 2020, Lions will play with neighbouring Norway in their Group B match at 8:20 pm.
The 2021 World Champions Canada will face Germany in their first match in Group A in Helsinki Ice Hockey Hall at 8:20 this night.
The two other matches on the opening day will be held between France and Slovakia in Helsinki Ice Hockey Hall and between USA and Latvia in Nokia Arena at 4:20 pm.
Earlier, the international Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has decided to ban Russia and Belarus from all upcoming Ice Hockey championships including the 2022 World Championship.
The Council of the IIHF took the decision in an extra-ordinary meeting on Monday following the Russia´s attack on Ukraine.
