Japan's Yuzuru Hanyu wins men's singles gold

Japanese Yuzuru Hanyu made an incredible comeback to clinch the men's singles gold at the World Figure Skating Championships 2017 here in Helsinki on Saturday.
Hanyu, silver medalist in the worlds last year and 5th after the short program this year, achieved a world best score of 223.20 points in the freestyle, landing four quadruple jumps, for a total of 321.59 points.
Hanyu's teammate Shoma Uno took the silver medal with 319.31 points, and the bronze medal went to Jin Boyang, the only Chinese skater who participated in the men's competition, with 303.58 points.
Short program leader Javier Fernandez of Spain dropped to 4th place after a scratchy performance, which ended his two-year reign at the worlds.
The tournament kicked of on Wednesday at Hartwall Arena in Helsinki. Later on Saturday evening will be the final of Ice Dance.
