RB Leipzig are not expecting big financial consequences after the death of Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz, reported dpa.

"I don't expect and I don't fear any change in the support from Red Bull. We will continue the work here with the same passion and motivation in the future," Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff told the Sport Bild newspaper on Wednesday.

Mateschitz died on October 22 at age 78 after an illness. He founded Red Bull in 1984 together with Thai businessman Chaleo Yoovidhya and the drink soon became popular around the world.

Besides RB Leipzig, the Red Bull sports empire also includes Formula One teams Red Bull and Alpha Tauri, ice hockey club Red Bull Munich and several others football clubs around the world.
