Munich will hold the first top-tier American Football game in Germany on Sunday when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Seattle Seahawks, reported dpa.
Another game in Munich and two in Frankfurt are planned over the next three years but Germany's Bild newspaper reported that the huge interest in the Munich spectacle means the NFL now want two games a season in Germany.
An NFL spokesperson told dpa: "There's nothing to say yet."
London has long hosted a number of NFL games a season, with a game in Mexico also each year. Renovations at Mexico City's Aztec Stadium may mean a game in Mexico is not possible next year, opening the door for Germany, Bild reported.
NFL boss Roger Goodell also fuelled the speculation with cryptic comments on Saturday.
