Jude Bellingham and Karim Adeyemi scored a brace each on Sunday as Borussia Dortmund made a big Bundesliga title race statement with a 6-0 demolition of Wolfsburg to move within one point of leaders Bayern Munich.
Adeyemi scored in the 14th and 59th minute, and set up Sebastien Haller for the second in the 28th before missing out on a hat-trick in the 65th by firing a penalty over.
Bellingham netted a stunner in the 54th and wrapped up matters in the 86th. Donyell Malen had made it 3-0 in the 37th for the hosts.
Bayern won 2-1 at Werder Bremen on Saturday but Dortmund defied the pressure with a 10th home victory in a row. They remain on the heels of the 10-time reigning champions with three games left in their bid for a first title since 2012.
Wolfsburg, who suffered a second heavy defeat in a row in Dortmund after crashing 6-1 there last term, stay seventh and in contention for a European berth.
"We had a lot of fun. We got a lot of space, made the most of it and got a deserved victory. It all came together today," Adeyemi told streaming portal DAZN.
Emre Can said: "We wanted to get full points again [after the Bochum game]. We must try to win our remaining games and then we will see. Nothing is decided yet, the belief is there."
Dortmund had lost the league lead to Bayern a week ago when they were held 1-1 at lowly Bochum but they wasted no time in making amends.
Forward Adeyemi opened the scoring early with a powerful header into the left corner off Julian Ryerson's cross.
Gregor Kobel denied Wolfsburg a quick equalizer with a big save from Patrick Wimmer on the break, and it was 2-0 soon after when Adeyemi ran down the left wing and squared for Haller to tap home, after Mats Hummels had won the ball in midfield.
Things got worse for Wolfsburg when Dutchman Malen had an easy task to put Julian Brandt's low cross into the empty net.
Dortmund kept up the momentum after the break and got the fourth when Bellingham ran across half of the field, his long range blast was palmed against the crossbar by goalkeeper Koen Casteels but the back spin made the ball go in after bouncing to the ground.
A big defensive error gifted Adeyemi his second before the German international was unable to convert from the spot after Kilian Fischer had made contact with Bellingham.
Instead, it was left to the England midfielder to complete the half dozen late in the game by slotting into the far corner.
