Lewandowski sidelined with ankle injury

FC Barcelona's injury problems continue to mount up with the news that striker Robert Lewandowski will be out of action for between three and four weeks with a twisted ankle, reported Xinhua.
The Poland international suffered the injury in the first half of Barca's fortunate 1-0 Champions League win away to Porto on Wednesday night and was replaced by Ferran Torres, who scored the only goal of the game.
The club confirmed the injury on its official website on Thursday, saying "tests conducted this Thursday morning have revealed that Robert Lewandowski has sprained his left ankle and will be out of action until the injury heals".
Although the communique doesn't give much away, it means the striker will miss Sunday's La Liga game in Granada and the home game against Athletic Bilbao after the international break - and will not be available for Poland's games in that period.
The big question is whether he will recover in time to face Real Madrid on October 28. With five goals in La Liga and one in the Champions League, Lewandowski is Barca's top scorer this season and with Pedri, Frenkie de Jong and Raphinha all currently sidelined through injury, Xavi Hernandez's options are becoming limited.
