World No. 2 Novak Djokovic helped Serbia lead 2-0 over Spain in the Davis Cup quarterfinals at Aleksandar Nikolic hall on Friday.

Djokovic, who missed Miami Open and was forced to an early exit in Indian Wells due to an elbow injury, beat Albert Ramos Vinolas 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 in the first singles before Viktor Troicki outplayed Pablo Carenno Busta 6-3, 6-4, 6-3.

In less than two hours, Djokovic demonstrated that he is on a good way to return to top shape that marked his last season.

"I am very satisfied with how I played, especially with my serve, because I haven't served this well lately. Albert Ramos is not so famous to our audience, but he is 24th in the world, and certainly has quality. If you give him the space and the necessary time he can definitely give you trouble," Djokovic said.

Troicki will team up with Nenad Zimonjic in Saturday's doubles match against Marc Lopez and Jose Munar.
