Former world tennis number one Angelique Kerber has acknowledged that her view of the world has changed a year after giving birth to daughter Liana, reported dpa.

The German has made a slow start back on the WTA Tour this year but is through to the second round at Indian Wells in California.

"I've actually become more relaxed and I'm also trying to put aside the idea of being perfect a little bit - you can make the odd mistake and be a little more at ease," the three-times grand slam winner told dpa.

"It's a completely different perception, a completely different view. Winning and losing is no longer as dramatic as it used to be," added the 36-year-old ahead of international women's day on Friday.
