Euro 2024 top scorer: Kane, Olmo - or six again?

England captain Harry Kane and Spain's Dani Olmo are best positioned to claim the Golden Boot award as Euro 2024 top scorer when they aim to find the net again in Sunday's final, reported dpa.
But there could also be a repeat of the 2012 tournament when six players finished top on three goals apiece.
Kane and Olmo are now locked on three goals with four other players whose teams have been eliminated: Cody Gakpo of the Netherlands, Germany's Jamal Musiala, Ivan Schranz of Slovakia and Georgia's Georges Mikautadze.
UEFA has confirmed that only goals count for the Golden Boot, with neither assists or minutes played used as possible tie-breakers.
Kane could add the top scorer's crown to that from the 2018 World Cup, where he scored six goals, to that from his first Bundesliga season where he netted 36 times for Bayern Munich.
The continental trophy would be a first-ever piece of silverware for Kane, and the biggest title for Olmo who has earned club honours with Dinamo Zagreb and RB Leipzig.
"I don't care if I score the goal or [goalkeeper] Unai Simon, as long as we win," Olmo has said.
Team-mate Fabian Ruiz and England's Jude Bellingham are also well-placed with two goal each, or a multi-scorer could emerge, like at the 2022 World Cup where France's Kylian Mbappé scored a hat-trick in the final.
Not under threat however appear two records. Michel Platini's haul of nine goals in 1984 is the single tournament record, and 14 goals from Cristiano Ronaldo the overall record from Euro finals.
