Ministers to attend Paralympics in Paris

Minister of Youth, Sport and Physical Activity Sandra Bergqvist and Minister of Science and Culture Sari Multala will attend the Paralympics in Paris, said an official press release on Monday.

Bergqvist will attend the Paralympics from August 28 to August 30 and Multala will be there from September 5 to September 6.

The ministers will follow various sports that Finnish Paralympic athletes will be competing in, such as para archery, wheelchair sprint events and para equestrian.

Bergqvist will participate the International Disability Inclusion Conference: Harnessing the Transformational Impact of Para Sport organised by UNESCO on August 28.

She will be attending the opening of the Paralympics on the same day.

On August 29, Bergqvist will meet the Canadian Minister of Sport and Physical Activity, Carla Qualtrough and will attend the reception of the Finnish team organised by the Finnish Paralympic Committee and the Finnish Embassy in Paris.
