Omar Marmoush completed a brace deep in stoppage time and set up the other as Eintracht Frankfurt salvaged a 3-3 draw against leaders Bayern Munich who stuttered again in a dramatic Bundesliga top match on Sunday.

Marmoush struck in the fourth minute of time added on after Bayern had failed to settle the match earlier and were caught out three times on the counter.

Dominant Bayern led from Kim Minjae in the 15th minute but Frankfurt hit back twice on the break. Marmosuh levelled in the 22nd and set up attacking partner Hugo Ekitiké for 2-1 in the 35th.

Bayern's other centre back, Dayot Upamecano, restored parity at 2-2 three minutes later, and Michael Olise put Bayern ahead again eight minutes after the restart before league top scorer Marmoush had the last laugh with a league-leading eighth goal of the season.

Ruthless Frankfurt punish Bayern

"We played great as a team. We were ruthless in front of goal on the few chances we got," Marmoush told streaming portal DAZN.

"I try to be consistent. But I must also thank the team. It is a lot of fun with the team. We are like a family on the pitch."

Bayern forward Thomas Müller said: "We must win the game if you dominate in such a way. It wasn't clever in the end. We didn't win but I still have a very good feeling."

It was Bayern's third game without victory after they were held 1-1 by champions Bayer Leverkusen a week ago and then lost for the first time in the season in mid-week, 1-0 at Aston Villa in the Champions League.

Bayern remain top, ahead on goal difference of RB Leipzig, who won 1-0 at Heidenheim earlier Sunday. Frankfurt, who would have gone top for the first time in 25 years with a victory, are one point back in third.

Bayern in full control

Olise aimed inches wide two minutes into the game, and his next shot was superbly tipped over the bar by goalkeeper Kaua Santos.

But Bayern took the lead from the ensuing corner kick in the 15th when Müller, in for the injured Jamal Musiala, laid the ball back from the far post to Kim who smashed into the roof of the net.

Frannkfurt hit back

Frankfurt hardly got out of their own half but were lurking for the counter and turned the match around on their first two chances as Bayern again struggled at the back.

Ansgar Knauff played the perfect pass to Marmoush who fired into the bottom left corner. Thirteen minutes on, Marmoush won a duel against Upamecano and set up Ekitiké to beat Manuel Neuer for a second time.

Bayern restore lead but Frankfurt have last laugh

The joy lasted a mere three minutes because Upamecano grabbed the 2-2 equalizer in a scramble after another Bayern corner.

Bayern were back on top in the 53rd when Olise finally scored with a curling shot off a backheeler from Harry Kane who failed to score again and wet off with what appeared to be a thigh muscle injury.

Bayern had largely contained Frankfurt after the break, and had their chances for a fourth. That backfired at the death when Junior Dina Ebimbe released Marmoush for the equalizer which set off wild celebrations.

"It feels like a victory," Ekitiké said.

Another clean sheet for Leipzig

Earlier, Leipzig extended their unbeaten club record Bundesliga run to 17 matches from Lois Openda's 59th minute winner in Heidenheim.

It was the fifth clean sheet from the six games for Leipzig who have not conceded in 405 league minutes.

"In the ennd it is a dirty 1-0 away from home, we happily take it," Leipzig defender David Raum said.

Stuttgart get last-gasp equalizer

In the other Sunday game, VfB Stuttgart's Ermedin Demirovic scored a 1-1 equalizer on the last play of the match against Hoffenheim nine minutes into stoppage time on the rebound of his penalty saved by Oliver Baumann.

That denied third last Hoffenheim a second season win after theY led from Valentin Gendrey late in the first half.
