Bayern Munich young talent Jamal Musiala plans to think about a possible contract extension with the club during the winter break, reported dpa.

"I think it's best if that still remains a secret. In the past weeks, my focus was on getting fit after my injury and to have the small issues under control.

"In the winter break, I'll have more time to think about it," he said after scoring a hat-trick in Bayern's 4-0 win at Mainz in the German Cup on Wednesday evening.

His current deal with Bayern runs until June 2026 and according to media reports, the those in charge at the club have already had initial talks with Musiala about an extension.

"Jamal is an extraordinary player," board member for sport Max Eberl said.

Musiala, meanwhile, said that he feels "very happy at Bayern," but for now "I can't say anything" about a new deal.
