Jürgen Klopp stressed that he won't be the coach of a Red Bull team, but added that he "can't say I will never be a coach again in my life," reported dpa.

"I will not be the coach of a Red Bull team, that's a clear commitment. The plan is completely different and I will not be the replacement of one of the Red Bull coaches," Klopp said on Tuesday as he was officially presented as Red Bull's new head of global soccer.

It was announced last year that the former Borussia Dortmund and Livepool coach would take the job at the energy drink giants.

Klopp will oversee Red Bull's football operations, which include RB Leipzig, Red Bull Salzburg and New York Red Bulls, among others.

Asked why Red Bull and not another coaching job, he said: "Because it’s a different role. I’ve always said that I love what I do. After a thousand matches and press conferences, I wanted a fresh start and a new opportunity. For this stage of my life, it's the perfect step."

"In this role I want to share all of my experience, I don't need it for myself any more. How will that exactly work, we will see. In football there's not a plan that works for every team."

After leaving Liverpool at the end of last season, Klopp decided to take a break and was expected to take another coaching job in the future. He was repeatedly linked with the position at the Germany national team.

The move to Red Bull surprised and disappointed many football fans, who accuse the company of using its money to buy success and use the sport only as a platform to advertise an energy drinks.
