Cristiano Ronaldo was again decisive for Real Madrid as he scored both of the goals in his side's hard-fought win away to Eibar on Saturday.

The Portuguese striker followed his midweek brace with a goal in each half to give his side a narrow 2-1 win in the Ipurua Stadium.

With Tony Kroos, Luka Modric and Gareth Bale back in the Real Madrid side, it was obvious that Zinedine Zidane was not allowing his side to sit on their laurels following their midweek triumph against Paris Saint Germain.

However, Eibar also needed a win in order to keep in touch with the top-6 and Kike Garcia forced a fine save from Keylor Navas early in the first half.

It was an entertaining game, but Madrid took the lead in the 34th minute when an error from the home side playing the ball out of defense allowed Modric to feed Ronaldo, who controlled and scored with a smart finish.

Sergio Ramos went close from a corner to doubling Madrid's lead, before Dmitrovic made a fine save to stop Ronaldo's deflected shot.

The halftime break allowed the home side to regroup and they drew level five minutes into the second half when Ivan Ramos scored a powerful header at the far post to leave Navas helpless.

Dmitrovic again denied Ronaldo, before Ramis had to leave the pitch with a muscle injury to be replaced by Paulo Ovlieira.

Zidane replaced Kroos and Isco with Lucas Vazquez and Karim Benzema, before Takahi Inui headed over for Eibar and Kike sliced a shot over the side netting.

However, against Madrid sides tend to pay when they miss their chances and Ronaldo put Madrid back in front with just over 5 minutes remaining when he ran onto a Dani Carvajal cross to leave Dmitrovic with no chance.
