Real Madrid will have an advantage when they travel to face FC Barcelona in the first 'Clasico' of the season between the two sides on October 28th.
The match between Barca and Real Madrid is arguably the biggest domestic club match in the world, with a global TV audience approaching a million and is often decisive in the outcome of the Liga Santander title.
Speaking on Spanish radio on Friday, Javier Tebas, the President of the Spanish Football League (LaLiga), said the game would be played at 16.15 hours in the Camp Nou Stadium.
Although the early kick off time will mean fans all around the world will be able to tune in, as it will be shown at prime time in Asia and the Middle East and in mid-morning/lunchtime in the Americas, it does Barca few favors.
Both Barca and Real Madrid have Champions League group ties during the week prior to the Clasico, but while Real Madrid have a relatively straightforward game at home to Czech side Viktoria Plzen in the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday, Barca have a difficult tie away to Inter Milan on the Wednesday night, meaning not only do they have 24 hours less to recover, but they also have to travel back to Barcelona after that match.
