Gabriel Jesus has been recalled to Brazil's national squad for October friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Argentina, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said on Friday.
Jesus was overlooked for Brazil's September friendlies against the United States and El Salvador after failing to score at the World Cup in Russia.
The 21-year-old has also managed just one goal in seven appearances for Manchester City this season.
"Gabriel Jesus is a very good player," Brazil coach Tite told a news conference in Rio de Janeiro upon announcing his latest 23-man squad.
"He didn't score at the World Cup but he is a proven goal scorer with the national team."
Despite his unfruitful campaign in Russia, Jesus maintains an impressive record for the Selecao with 10 goals in 22 matches.
Brazil will play Saudi Arabia on Oct. 12 and Argentina four days later in the Saudi Arabian cities of Riyadh and Jeddah, respectively.
As expected, Brazil's squad includes Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar, Barcelona midfielders Philippe Coutinho and Arthur, Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino and Real Madrid's Casemiro and Marcelo.
Juventus winger Douglas Costa was left out because of injury while Paris Saint-Germain defender and former Brazil captain Thiago Silva was also overlooked.
