Finland wins bronze in European figure stating Chams

Finland's Vivek Lindfors won bronze at figure skating European Championships on Friday evening in Minsk, capital of Belarus. She scored scored 194.40.

Russian figure skater Sofia Samodurova won the gold medal in the event. The Russian sportswoman scored 140.96 in the free skate for a total of 213.84, reported news agency Xinhua..

Teammate Alina Zagitova, the Olympic champion in PyeongChang, won the silver, scoring a total of 198.34.

Performing to “Les Miserables”, Lindfors produced four clean triples including a triple Lutz-triple toeloop combination as well as difficult spins and steps to score 128.79 points, reported International Skating Union

“It’s a big personal victory for me, since figure skating has taken such a big step forward since our last medal. I feel very accomplished to have been able to reach the top three in the European Championships,“ said the ISU report quoting Lindfors as saying.
