Valtteri Bottas of Mercedes placed third in practice 1 of the Bahrain Grand Prix on Friday.
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc took lead in the practice session 0.263 seconds ahead of team mate Sebastian Vettel, said the bulletin from Formula One.
Lewis Hamilton took fourth spot behind his Finnish team mate.
Bottas who won the Australian Grand Prix earlier this month in Melbourne leads the Formula One drivers standing ahead of Hamilton and Max Verstappen.
