Summer speed limits come into force today

Summer speed limits will return throughout the country starting today, said the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency in a press release.

The summer speed limits will be enforced countrywide latest by Sunday.

It has been possible since early March under good driving conditions to return to summer speed limits.

The speed limit will be raised to 120 km/h on motorways provided the section of the road does not have a permanent lower limit.

Higher speed on other main roads will be raised to 100 km/h from 80 km/h.
