The Helsinki Regional Transport Authority (Helsingin seudun liikenne – HSL) will suspend cash and debit/credit card ticket sales at the service points in Helsinki Central Railway Station and in Itäkeskus due to the deteriorating coronavirus situation.
The decision has been taken with the view to prevent the spread of coronavirus and to reduce customer contacts, said an official press release on Thursday.
Ticket sales are suspended until further notice.
HSL, however, keeps various other options for buying tickets and topping up HSL cards close to the service points.
For example, tickets are available from ticket machines and other sales points.
HSL recommends that people primarily buy their tickets using the HSL app or use the online HSL card service to top up their cards.
The service points will remain open for other business and value and season tickets will be sold to customers who, for example, need to update their customer group.
In addition, service voucher and invoice customers can top up their cards at the service points as usual.
