The exceptionally large relative growth in the number of passengers compared to the year before was caused by the collapse of air traffic due to the COVID-19 pandemic one year ago.

Of the passengers 66 per cent came from international flights and 34 per cent from domestic flights.
The share of passengers on international flights was 79 per cent at Helsinki Airport and 10 per cent in total at other domestic airports.
