Starting next week, 76 brand-new electric buses will be officially put into operation in Helsinki, reported Xinhua.
Nobina Co., which owns these vehicles, has become the largest electric bus operator in Finland.
Nobina said that the company owns more than 110 pure electric buses at present, all of which come from a Chinese car company, BYD.
Nobina Co. said that the number of electric buses owned by the company will double within a year.
According to the plan, one third of buses in Finland's capital region will be electrified by 2025.
