Air Leap will start a direct route between Stockholm Arlanda and Turku from 24 January, said Finavia, the company operates country´s airports on Tuesday.

Air Leap will operate the route with two daily round trips Monday to Friday and one direct flight from Turku to Stockholm on Saturday with return on Sunday.

Earlier, the airline announced that it will increase the number of departures to Mariehamn and Turku to two daily round trips. This means that a total of four departures are offered from Turku to Stockholm, two direct and two with a stopover in Mariehamn.

“Stockholm and Turku have been without direct flights since the outbreak of the pandemic. We are therefore pleased to be able to make this investment. Together with the route via Mariehamn, many departures will now be offered that can be adapted to connecting flights in Stockholm,” said Johan Giæver Marvik, Commercial Director, Air Leap

“We are delighted to reopen the flight connection between the two cities. It is great to see travelling picking up and connections to and from Finland gradually recovering,” said Petri Vuori, Vice President, Sales and Route Development, Finavia.
