Helsinki Airport renovations affect vehicle traffic

The renovation of Helsinki Airport Terminal 2 will affect vehicle traffic throughout the autumn, said Finavia in a press release.

The roadway in front of Terminal 2 is closed on some days from around 22:00 until 04:00 hours.

The next roadway closure date is 1-4October, that is, Sunday to Wednesday.

The airport can be reached by car as normal, but all vehicle traffic arriving during these hours will be directed to the arrivals level. For example, vehicles bringing passengers who have a flight to catch must drive through the car park outside the terminal, i.e. the express car park.

Vehicle traffic in front of Terminal 1, runs normally round the clock. For longer-term parking, there are a lot of parking options near the terminals. It is also easy to get to the airport by taxi, train and bus.
