Electric glitch disrupts rail communication

Electrical fault in the south of Tikkurila on Friday night caused rail traffic disruption on Saturday, reported local media.

Repair work was estimated to continue to six o'clock in the evening on Saturday, said the rail traffic centre. However, the rail traffic did not resume to normalcy since two similar faults were discovered. Electrical rail structures have also been found faulty in Oulunkylä and Malmi.

All the repair work is estimated to be completed by midnight.

Rail traffic on Saturday slowed down along the main track between Oulunkylä and Kerava.
