Sea passenger traffic triples in June but lower than pre-pandemic level

A total of 1,379,500 persons were transported through Finnish sea ports in June this year, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of passengers increased by nearly three-fold compared to the number June 2021.

But the number, however, was just 66 per cent compared to June 2019.

In June, 2022, a total of 667,372 passengers travelled between Finland and Estonia, 633,358 passengers between Finland and Sweden and 18,148 passengers between Finland and Germany.

A total of 30,738 passengers of foreign cruise ships arrived in Finland in June this year.
