The winter speed limits were rescinded on Friday.
The winter speed limits, however, will remain unchanged at some places, where the roads are under construction or renovation, said the Finnish Transport Agency.
Changing the road signs may be carried out later in some locations, depending on the weather.
After winter, roads can have a lot of cracks, holes, and other damage which need looking out for, sources at the agency explained.
The main roads where the speed limit was reduced to 80 km/h during the winter will be returned to 100 km/h. The speed limit for motorways will rise to 120 km/h.
The Finnish Transport Agency pointed out that in bad weather conditions, appropriate speeds can be considerably lower than indicated by speed limit signs.
