EasyJet to open 6 new routes from Rovaniemi in winter

The British low-cost airline EasyJet will launch scheduled flights from six European destinations to Rovaniemi Airport in November–December this year, said country´s airports operator Finavia in a press release on Thursday.
EasyJet will offer a total of 17 international routes to Finavia's Lapland airports next winter.
The destinations for EasyJet’s new scheduled flights from Rovaniemi are Berlin, Birmingham, Bordeaux, Geneva, Lyon and Nice.
The airline will also resume last winter’s flights to Rovaniemi from Edinburgh, Paris, Amsterdam, Naples, Milan, Manchester, Bristol, London Gatwick Airport and London Luton Airport.
In Lapland, EasyJet will also fly to Kittilä Airport from Manchester and London Gatwick Airport.

Routes with regular scheduled flights, which Finavia negotiates with airlines and regions, are extremely important for Lapland's accessibility and with them, the record growth in tourism will continue next winter.” said Petri Vuori, Senior Vice President of Finavia, who is responsible for route development.
