Finnish airport operations not affected by global IT disruption

The global widespread technology outage did not affect flight operations in Finland, said country´s airports operator Finavia in a press release on Friday.

There has been news around the world about IT disturbances on Friday, which have been reflected in, for example, international air traffic.

In Finland, no disturbances have been detected in Finavia's network or systems, and Finavia's airports were operated normally.

The authorities, however, were actively monitoring the situation.

Air travel is a globally linked industry, where the delay of one flight also affects the schedules of the following flights.
