The Metro will again run through the center of Helsinki when the Central Railway Station Metro Station will resume on Monday, said the Helsinki Regional Transport Authority (Helsingin seudun liikenne – HSL) in a press release.

When the Central Railway Station Metro Station reopens, the Metro will resume normal timetables.

This means that from September 2, the Metro will run between Itäkeskus and Tapiola every three minutes at peak times.

Metro replacement tram 9B will be withdrawn.

Mellunmäki Metro Station will reopen a week later on September 9.

At the same time, replacement bus 99M will be withdrawn.

The Central Railway Station Metro Station has been closed for three months due to repair work.

The work to improve fire safety at the station will continue as planned until March 2025. However, the work will no longer affect Metro services.
