Nextjet will add more flights to the route between Kokkola-Pietarsaari Airport and Arlanda in Stockholm from 12 March 2018 onwards, said a press release.
Beginning this spring, Nextjet will fly 13 times a week from Kokkola-Pietarsaari Airport to Stockholm.
“We can now meet the demand from passengers by increasing our offering and improving schedules. We have an entirely new schedule with morning and evening departures, so we can look forward to the year 2018 with confidence,” said Nextjet Marketing and Route Manager Henning Lindberg in the press release.
According to Nextjet, the number of passengers on the route increased in 2017 by more than 10 per cent.
In addition, the airline will open a new weekend route in March from Kokkola-Pietarsaari Airport via Umeå to Gothenburg. The new route will be flown with a 50-seater CRJ 200 type jet plane.
“The new route is an existing opening, and it can be strengthened in the future with additional flights, if there is more demand,” said Lindberg.
