Telecom system glitch disrupts operations at Helsinki Airport

Operations at the Helsinki Airport were disrupted for about one hour on Monday afternoon following a glitch at the telecommunication systems of country´s airports operator Finavia, said an official press release.

The glitch took place at about 15:40 p.m. resulting disruptions in check-in, boarding, and partially the baggage systems until 16:30 p.m.

The normalcy in the communication systems and airport operations returned after 50 minutes, said the Finavia.

The authority apologized to the passengers for the inconvenience caused by the telecommunication disruption, the press release added.

Earlier in this month, departing passengers suffered a significant delay at Helsinki Airport following disruption in the baggage handling system due to a technical glitch.
