Glitch disrupts baggage handling at Helsinki Airport

Baggage handling was disrupted at Helsinki Airport for more than three hours on Saturday afternoon following a technical glitch, said country´s airports operator Finavia in a press release.

The disruption in the baggage distribution system took place at about 12:15 p.m. and continued until 3:30 p.m. affecting the handling of checked baggage.

The malfunction caused delays in baggage handling, which might result in some baggage missing flights.

Airlines are responsible for delivering baggage to passengers and Finavia urged passengers to contact their respective airlines regarding checked baggage.

The authority also apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers due to the disruption.
