Finnish airports see higher passengers in February

A total of 1.6 million passengers flew through Finnish airports in February 2025, which is 7 percent higher compared to the stipulated month of the previous year, according to Statistics Finland.
The number of passengers on domestic flights decreased by 4 per cent, while the number of passengers on international flights increased by 12 per cent.
In February 2025, Helsinki Airport accounted for 74 per cent of all air traffic passengers at domestic airports.
In February 2025, a total of 1.2 million passengers flew through Helsinki Airport and altogether 425,000 passengers flew through other domestic airports.
Compared to February 2024, the total number of passengers was 6 per cent higher at Helsinki Airport and 12 per cent higher at other domestic airports.
Seventy-six per cent of the air traffic passengers travelled on international flights and 24 per cent on domestic flights in February 2025.
The share of passengers on international flights was 84 per cent at Helsinki Airport and 54 per cent in total at other domestic airports. Of all passengers, 94 per cent travelled on scheduled flights.
Of air traffic passengers, 1.2 million travelled on international flights.
