Renovation works to disrupt train services in Helsinki

A massive renovation works will disrupt train services at different routes in Helsinki city from Monday, according to Finnish Transport Agency.

Major disruptions will take place to I, P, K and N trains and some trains will not run between Helsinki and Pasila during the daytime from June 25 to July 16 due to rail yard renovation works, said a press release.

In addition, there will be changes to departure tracks at Pasila station and passengers are asked to check their platform at the station.

Night services, other commuter trains and long-distance trains, however, will ply as usual.

Changes to commuter train services 25 June-16 July

K trains: K trains will leave from and terminate at Pasila. K trains will not run between Helsinki and Pasila.

N trains: N trains will leave from and terminate at Pasila during the daytime. N trains will not run between Helsinki and Pasila during the daytime.

From Monday to Friday, N trains will leave from Pasila 6:00am to 8.02pm. N trains from Kerava 5.59amto 8.59pm will terminate at Pasila.

On Saturdays, N trains will leave from Pasila 8.12am-8.02pm. N trains from Kerava 7.29am-8.59pm will terminate at Pasila.

On Sundays, N trains will leave from Pasila 11.12am-7.47pm. N trains from Kerava 10.29am-8.59pm will terminate at Pasila.

I and P trains to/from Helsinki Airport:

Only I trains will run from the airport to Helsinki. P trains will run from Helsinki to the airport.

From Monday to Friday, I trains will leave from Pasila 7.06am-9.40pm. P trains from Helsinki Airport 5.31am-7.11pm will terminate at Pasila.

On Saturdays, I trains will leave from Pasila 8.21am-9.40pm. P trains from Helsinki Airport 7.56am-7.11pm will terminate at Pasila.

On Sundays, I trains will leave from Pasila 11.06am-9.40pm. P trains from Helsinki Airport 10.41am-7.11pm will terminate at Pasila.

The renovation works will continue until August and the authority will inform about the changes to commuter train services from 18 July to 4 August later.
