For the ninth consecutive year, Finnair has been named Northern Europe’s Best Airline by Skytrax at the World Airline Awards event in London, said a Finnair press release.
The World Airline Awards by Skytrax are based on an independent survey of over 20 million passenger entries taken between August 2017 and May 2018 covering 335 airlines.
The World Airline Awards by Skytrax are regarded as the primary benchmarking tool for passenger satisfaction levels of airlines throughout the world.
The passenger survey analyses customer satisfaction for the overall airline passenger experience, at both the airport and on board the aircraft: check-in to boarding, seat comfort, cabin cleanliness, food, beverages, in-flight entertainment and staff service.
“It is truly an honor to receive this prestigious award for the ninth consecutive year,” said Piia Karhu, Senior Vice-President of Customer Experience at Finnair.
“Finnair achieved a remarkable success winning this top accolade as the Best Airline in Northern Europe for the ninth successive year,” CEO of Skytrax Edward Plaisted said adding that “The airline is truly a customer favourite as it continues to expand its popular network of routes between Europe and Asia.”
