The Met Office forecasts huge snow downpour of up to 15-30 centimetres at the beginning of the week in the central parts of the country.
According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI), the snowfall may complicate traffic and cause damage in some places.
Strong winds may also cause damage in some cases.
Low pressure and rain over the Bothnian Sea will move towards the southern and central parts of the country on Sunday and Monday, and at the same time will deepen, according to the FMI forecast issued on Sunday.
The low pressure is associated with plenty of downpour and quite strong winds.
The downpour initially will begin in form of rain and gradually become snowy. The rains will be concentrated in the central parts of the country.
The rains which will continue until Wednesday in the central parts of the country will be largely 20-30 millimetres, and 40 millimetres in some places.
