Snowfall may delay flights at Helsinki Airport

Heavy snowfall is likely to delay flight operations at Helsinki Airport on Tuesday and Wednesday, said Finavia, the company that operates the country’s airports, quoting weather forecast.

Forecasts show strong wind and snowfall for the two stipulated days, especially in south and south-east Finland.

Strong side wind and heavy snowfall may cause restrictions on runways that would cause delays to traffic.

Passengers are requested to prepare for delays and to follow notifications of their own airline, added the Finavia press release.
