Temperature rise forecast in the south

Temperature in many places in the south is forecast to rise to the plus side on Wednesday.

Rainfall is also expected in many places in the south, while night temperatures is forecast to plunge slightly below zero.

The central parts of the country will see cloudy weather, and snowfall from the southwest will continue until in the afternoon.

Frigid condition of minus 15-20 degrees Celsius is forecast in Northern parts of the country.

Electricity transmission company Pohjois-Karjalan Sähkö has warned that there might be increased power outages in North Karelia due to increased snowfall. According to the company, electricity distribution failures may be a possibility within its entire grid.
